A real izakaya, not a gaming snack bar
Chef Kenji Mori ran an Osaka izakaya for twelve years before Melbourne poached him. His counter sits inside Hall B — skewers over binchotan charcoal, donburi built for one-handed eating, and a ramen that regulars order at midnight as their final hand.
The whisky list runs thirty deep and leans Japanese: Yamazaki, Hakushu, Nikka and the small distilleries nobody else stocks. Everything on the menu is designed to work alongside play — nothing requires two hands for long.
On the menu
Kushiyaki
Binchotan-grilled skewers — chicken tsukune, wagyu, king prawn.
Donburi & ramen
Rice bowls built for eating at a machine; tonkotsu till close.
Japanese whisky
Thirty bottles deep, flights available Thursdays.
Highballs
The parlour drink — seven variations, all ice-cold.
The dining experience
Counter seating is walk-in; the six tables can be booked. Parlour guests get the full menu delivered by their host.

Chef Kenji's rule: if you can't eat it one-handed, it doesn't make the menu
Everything is designed for players — skewers you can hold between launches, donburi that sits stable on the rest ledge, ramen portions sized for a machine break. The kitchen watches the floor as much as the pass.

Popular add-ons
"The tsukune is better than anything I've had in Melbourne's actual izakayas. I'd come for the food even if I didn't play."
